Education District III has formally presented letters of deployment to a new batch of teachers recruited into Lagos State public schools. The presentation ceremony was held at the District Headquarters in Falomo, Ikoyi.
Addressing the newly deployed teachers, the Tutor General and Permanent Secretary of Education District III, Mr. Olusegun Olawale Osinaike, highlighted the pivotal role educators play in shaping the future of the state’s education sector. He reminded them that their dedication would significantly influence students’ academic performance and character development.
Mr. Osinaike charged the teachers to discharge their duties with diligence, commitment, and a strong sense of responsibility. He stressed that teaching remains a noble profession that demands integrity, discipline, and passion.

He also emphasised the need for professionalism at all times, both within and outside the classroom. According to him, teachers must maintain a decent and professional mode of dressing, noting that appearance reflects the dignity of the profession.
The Tutor General further urged the teachers to familiarise themselves with the Public Service Rules and other regulations guiding their employment. He explained that adherence to established procedures is essential for effective service delivery and career progression within the public service.
In addition, he encouraged them to be adaptable and innovative, leveraging their training and skills to improve learning outcomes in their assigned schools. Following a comprehensive briefing on their responsibilities, the teachers were directed to report immediately to their respective schools.
The deployment exercise underscores Education District III’s commitment to strengthening teaching quality and enhancing learning outcomes through the recruitment of competent and motivated educators.
