The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has again extended the deadline for the 2026 Direct Entry registration exercise, giving prospective candidates additional time to complete their applications.
According to the latest update released by the board, the registration process will now continue until June 5, 2026.
The extension is expected to assist candidates still facing challenges in obtaining key registration documents, including academic transcripts, A’Level results, ND/HND certificates, IJMB/JUPEB results, and other required credentials.
JAMB urged all eligible candidates to take advantage of the extension and ensure they complete their registration before the new closing date.
The board also warned applicants against waiting until the final days of registration, noting that last-minute rush could lead to network failures, congestion at accredited CBT centres, delays in document verification, and avoidable registration errors.
Candidates were further informed that Direct Entry ePINs remain available at approved registration centres and designated outlets across the country.
The Direct Entry programme enables candidates with advanced qualifications such as ND, NCE, IJMB, JUPEB, HND, and bachelor’s degrees to gain admission directly into 200 level in Nigerian universities.
