The Ilorin Innovation Challenge & Hackathon 2025 has officially opened its application portal, inviting bold thinkers, early-stage startups, and tech enthusiasts across Kwara State and beyond to participate in a transformative initiative aimed at catalyzing economic development through local innovation.
Organized as part of Kwara’s growing innovation ecosystem, the Challenge seeks to discover and accelerate homegrown solutions capable of addressing real-world challenges across sectors. Participants will gain access to expert mentorship, targeted pre-incubation and incubation support, strategic ecosystem connections, and potential funding and infrastructure support to scale their solutions.
According to organizers, the initiative is open to:
Innovators with bold, impact-driven ideas
Early-stage start-ups with a minimum viable product (MVP)
Students, creatives, and tech enthusiasts
Builders focused on solving local challenges and creating lasting impact
As part of outreach and engagement efforts, a roadshow will be held at Kwara State University (KWASU) on August 5, 2025, to provide more insight into the program and encourage campus-based participation.
Applications for the Challenge and Hackathon officially close on August 11, 2025. Interested participants are urged to apply through the official portal.
