Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has declared a state of emergency on education in the Niger North Senatorial District during a recent project tour. He expressed concern over the lack of schools in many communities, particularly along Bangi in the Mariga Local Government Area. The Governor reassured residents that more schools would be established in the zone and existing day schools would be renovated and equipped with modern facilities.
Furthermore, Governor Bago announced plans to address the shortage of potable water in the area. He emphasized that his administration is dedicated to eliminating all forms of criminality in the region. This declaration comes as a significant step towards improving education and infrastructure in the Niger North Senatorial District.
