The Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE), located in Bayelsa State, has officially announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Exercise for prospective students seeking admission into the institution. The university invites applications from qualified candidates who wish to pursue various academic programmes in the upcoming academic session.
According to the information released by FUOTUOKE’s admissions office, candidates who selected the university as their first choice in the 2025 JAMB UTME and scored a minimum of 150 are eligible to apply for the screening exercise. This cut-off mark applies to all academic programmes offered by the institution. The university emphasizes that this requirement aligns with national admission standards for federal universities.
Furthermore, the university has extended an opportunity to candidates who initially did not choose FUOTUOKE as their first-choice institution but are interested in studying at the university. These candidates must have also scored 150 and above in the UTME. However, before proceeding with the application, they are required to perform a Change of Institution to FUOTUOKE via the official JAMB portal (www.jamb.org.ng), selecting any of the approved courses available for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The application process is entirely online and involves a non-refundable fee of N2,000.00. Candidates can pay this fee securely using Interswitch Verve or Mastercard debit cards. The university has warned applicants to carefully read and follow the application instructions to avoid mistakes that may lead to disqualification or unsuccessful submissions.
Applicants are required to visit the official FUOTUOKE Post-UTME application portal at http://ecampus.fuotuoke.edu.ng to complete their registration. During the process, candidates must upload the following documents in the specified formats: a passport-sized photograph (JPG format), O’Level result(s) such as WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB (PDF format), a Local Government Identification Letter (PDF format), and a Birth Certificate or Age Declaration (PDF format).
For candidates using combined O’Level results, the system requires both scratch card details for each set of results. FUOTUOKE has cautioned candidates to ensure the accuracy of their contact details, including email addresses and phone numbers, as the university will not be liable for communication failures due to incorrect information.
The online registration portal opened on Thursday, July 10, 2025, and the deadline for the submission of applications is August 8, 2025. The university advises applicants to complete their applications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
After completing the online registration, candidates are expected to print out their Post-UTME Screening Schedule Slip, which will contain details of the screening date, time, and venue. The exact dates for the screening exercise will be announced on the university portal upon completion of the application process.
Candidates are also reminded to ensure that their O’Level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS before the screening. Any candidate whose results are not uploaded on CAPS, who makes false declarations regarding UTME scores, O’Level grades, or state of origin, will be automatically disqualified from the admission process.
