MTN Nigeria, in partnership with the SAIL Innovation Lab, has announced the launch of the MTN–SAIL Teachers Fellowship, a five-month capacity-building programme designed for public school teachers across the 36 states of the federation.
The initiative aims to equip teachers with innovative teaching methods and digital tools to enhance classroom delivery and improve learning outcomes. According to the organisers, the fellowship is open to teachers currently serving in public primary and secondary schools who have access to smart devices.
Successful applicants will undergo advanced training in modern approaches such as Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) and technology integration. The programme also promises to strengthen classroom management techniques, build teachers’ capacity to foster critical thinking in students, and connect them to a collaborative peer network for knowledge exchange.
At the end of the fellowship, participants will receive a certificate of completion to validate their professional growth.
Organisers described the initiative as an opportunity for teachers to “go beyond instruction and become change-makers,” with the potential to transform classroom experiences nationwide.
Applications are currently open and will close on September 30, 2025.
