Chrisland University, Abeokuta, has once again proven its reputation as a center of academic excellence with an exceptional performance by students from its Faculty of Nursing and Department of Medical Laboratory Science, who achieved 100 percent success in their recent professional qualifying examinations. This remarkable accomplishment underscores the university’s continuous dedication to quality education, academic rigor, and professional competence.

The outstanding results were officially confirmed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), the professional regulatory bodies responsible for certifying and licensing graduates in both disciplines. According to reports from both councils, every Chrisland University student who sat for the qualifying examinations excelled, reflecting the institution’s high academic standards and effective training framework.

The success positioned Chrisland University among the top-performing institutions in Nigeria for the 2025 examination cycle. It further validates the university’s consistent rise as one of the nation’s most reputable private universities, particularly in the health sciences, where quality assurance and hands-on professional preparation remain core priorities.

In her congratulatory message, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oyedunni Sola Arulogun, expressed profound pride in the students’ accomplishments. She commended them for their hard work, diligence, and unwavering pursuit of excellence, describing the results as “a clear testimony of the university’s academic strength and the effectiveness of its teaching and learning systems.” She also extended her appreciation to the lecturers and administrative staff for their steadfast commitment to nurturing an environment that supports success.

Professor Arulogun reiterated that the achievement demonstrates Chrisland University’s mission to produce globally competitive graduates capable of contributing significantly to the development of Nigeria’s healthcare sector. She emphasized that excellence at Chrisland is not by accident but by deliberate effort, guided mentorship, and the consistent pursuit of quality in every aspect of academic engagement.

The Dean, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Professor Augustine Oyeaghala, attributed the success to the university’s well-structured academic curriculum, dedicated faculty members, and the availability of modern, state-of-the-art facilities. He stated that these resources provide students with the essential skills and practical exposure needed to thrive in professional practice. According to him, Chrisland’s student-centered approach continues to yield exceptional results, as evident in this latest milestone.

Similarly, the Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Professor Funmilayo Okanlawon, expressed immense joy and satisfaction at the students’ performance, noting that the achievement reflects the faculty’s unwavering commitment to excellence in nursing education. She described the results as “proof of the faculty’s dedication to producing healthcare professionals who are not only competent but also compassionate and ethically sound in service.”

The milestone is particularly significant for the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, which produced its first set of graduates this year. Their collective success in the professional qualifying examinations stands as a resounding endorsement of the department’s academic strength, leadership quality, and effective mentorship. It also marks a historic moment in the university’s journey toward becoming a major hub for medical science education in Nigeria.

This outstanding performance, according to the management, reflects the synergy between students’ commitment and the university’s relentless investment in infrastructure, technology, and faculty development. Chrisland University’s emphasis on practical learning and ethical practice continues to distinguish it as a model institution for healthcare education in Nigeria and beyond.

Beyond academic excellence, the university’s leadership reaffirmed its mission to foster innovation, research, and community service through its health-related programs. Professor Arulogun noted that Chrisland University is building a new generation of healthcare professionals equipped to provide solutions to both national and global health challenges.

The achievement has not only brought pride to the university community but has also further strengthened its standing among the nation’s foremost private institutions. By maintaining a 100% success rate in professional examinations, Chrisland University continues to demonstrate that its educational model anchored on quality, discipline, and integrity is one that produces results that meet and exceed global standards.

This remarkable success lays a solid foundation for future cohorts and reaffirms Chrisland University’s unwavering commitment to producing world-class graduates. As the institution celebrates this milestone, it continues to inspire confidence in its mission to shape competent, ethical, and visionary professionals who can confidently compete with their peers across the globe.
