The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially announced the opening of its online application portal for admission into the 78 Regular Course, with the process scheduled to run from Friday, November 28, 2025, to April 30, 2026. The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Academy Registrar.
According to the statement, the application is open to qualified male and female Nigerians seeking admission into the nation’s premier military university. Prospective candidates have been directed to the academy’s application portal at www.ndaapplications.net to commence the process by purchasing an access code and completing their online registration.
The academy explained that applicants are expected to select the “Purchase Access Code” option on the portal, fill in the required personal details, and proceed to make payment through the REMITA platform. Each candidate must first obtain an Order ID and a REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR) number before paying the application fee of ₦7,000.
The NDA emphasised the need for applicants to adhere strictly to the approved payment process, warning that only payments made through RRR codes generated on the official application portal would be valid. It advised candidates not to patronise unofficial channels or third-party agents claiming to facilitate the application.
“Please note that only payment against RRR Codes generated via the application portal would be accepted,” the statement reiterated, urging candidates to exercise caution.
The academy also advised applicants to carefully read all instructions and eligibility guidelines before proceeding with the submission of their forms. “Visit the link for more details. Please read carefully and follow the instructions,” the Registrar added.
This announcement comes months after the NDA warned the public to disregard a fake list of successful and reserve candidates purportedly released for the Armed Forces Selection Board 2025. At the time, the Academy’s Public Relations Officer, Major Mohammed Maidawa, clarified in Kaduna that the list was fraudulent and not issued by the institution.
The NDA, known for producing officers for the Nigerian Army, Navy, and Air Force, has continued to battle misinformation and fraudulent schemes targeting unsuspecting applicants. The academy urged the public to rely solely on official communication channels to avoid falling victim to scams as the 78 Regular Course application process begins.
