The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has clarified how candidates will know their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) date, time, and venue. Many candidates who recently completed their registration have expressed concern after noticing that their printed registration slips do not contain their examination schedule.
According to the Board, the slip issued immediately after registration is only a registration slip. This document simply confirms that a candidate has successfully registered and contains personal details, registration number, selected subjects, and examination town. However, it does not include the candidate’s examination date, time, or venue.
To know the actual examination schedule, candidates are required to follow these steps:
1. Wait for JAMB’s Official Announcement on Slip Reprinting
After the registration phase, JAMB will officially announce when candidates can reprint their examination slips. This announcement will signal the period when candidates can access their detailed exam information.
2. Reprint the Mock Examination Slip (For Candidates Who Chose Mock)
Candidates who selected the mock examination during registration will first reprint their Mock Examination Slip, which will show the mock exam date, time, and the assigned CBT centre.
3. Reprint the Main UTME Examination Slip
After the mock exercise, all candidates will reprint their Main UTME Examination Slip. This is the document that will clearly display the actual examination date, time, and venue for the UTME.
Candidates are also informed that printing their examination slips is not restricted to accredited CBT centres. The slip can be printed at any cyber café or through any device with internet access once the reprinting window is announced.
Prospective candidates are therefore advised to remain calm and wait for the official announcement from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board regarding the examination slip reprinting exercise.
