Former Big Brother Naija star and disc jockey, Tolani Baj, has launched the Tolani Baj DJ Academy in Lagos as part of efforts to support and develop emerging talents within Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
The reality TV personality and fast-rising DJ announced the launch in a video shared online, where she reflected on her journey into music and entertainment.
According to her, the academy represents a major milestone in her career and a platform aimed at helping aspiring DJs build sustainable careers in music.
“My life has taken so many unexpected turns, but somehow every turn kept bringing me back to music. I started my DJ career a year and a half ago, and now I am pleased to welcome you all to Tolani Baj DJ Academy,” she said.
The academy will run an eight-week training programme tailored for beginners and individuals interested in pursuing professional careers as DJs.
Tolani Baj explained that the initiative is open to people of all ages and genders, adding that the academy is designed to provide a creative environment where participants can learn technical DJ skills while building confidence.
“At Tolani Baj DJ Academy, we are building the next generation of DJs. Here, you will learn how to DJ, build your brand and get paid for your talent,” she stated.
Beyond technical training, the academy will also focus on branding, career development, and industry positioning for participants seeking opportunities within the entertainment space.
The launch has attracted positive reactions from fans, creatives, and aspiring entertainers, many of whom described the initiative as a welcome contribution to talent development and youth empowerment within Nigeria’s growing music industry.
