The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) and Direct Entry screening exercise for prospective candidates seeking admission into the institution.
According to the university, candidates who selected OAU as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 200 are eligible to participate in the screening exercise. Direct Entry candidates who applied to the university are also invited to register.
The institution disclosed that online registration for the screening exercise will begin on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, and close on Friday, August 14, 2026. Candidates have been advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period, as late applications may not be entertained.
To commence the registration process, applicants are required to visit the university’s admission portal and verify their details using their JAMB Registration Number, email address, and phone number. Upon verification, candidates are expected to proceed with payment through the approved payment gateway using any of the available channels, including debit cards, bank transfers, USSD services, or physical bank deposits.
The university noted that once payment is successfully confirmed, login credentials will be sent to the email address provided during the verification stage. Candidates who do not receive their login details after payment have been advised to revisit the admission portal, select the “Confirm Your Payment” option, validate their information, and retrieve their credentials.
After obtaining their login details, applicants are expected to access the admission portal using their JAMB Registration Number as their username and the password provided by the university. They are then required to complete the application form by supplying all necessary information accurately.
OAU emphasized the importance of carefully reviewing all submitted details before final submission, warning candidates against providing false information or making avoidable errors that could affect their admission prospects.
