The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has opened its online registration portal for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution.
The registration, which commenced on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, will close on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
The exercise is open to UTME and Direct Entry candidates who selected the university as their first choice for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to a notice signed by the university’s Registrar, Mal. Alkasim Musa Umar, UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 UTME to qualify for the screening.
Candidates are also required to have at least five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
The university further directed applicants to upload their O’Level results to the JAMB portal before completing the screening registration.
For Direct Entry candidates, the university said applicants must possess a recognised NCE, IJMB, ND, First Degree or HND qualification. Candidates with JUPEB or NABTEB A’ Level qualifications are not eligible for the Direct Entry screening.
Direct Entry applicants are also required to upload their A’Level results to the JAMB portal and have them verified by their former institutions.
The university added that all applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, while their UTME subject combinations must correspond with the requirements for the courses they intend to study.
How to register
Eligible candidates are required to visit the UNIABUJA admission portal and select the option to apply for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening.
Applicants will be required to:
- Enter their JAMB registration number and retrieve their details.
- Complete their basic information using a valid phone number and email address.
- Pay the N2,000 screening fee through the approved payment process.
- Generate a Remita payment reference and complete the payment.
- Enter the OTP sent to their phone where required.
- Log into the portal using their JAMB registration number and surname as the password.
- Complete the registration process and print their completed registration form and payment receipt.
The university advised candidates who intend to change their courses to do so on the JAMB portal before registering for the Post-UTME screening.
UNIABUJA also urged prospective candidates to ensure that the information and documents submitted during registration are accurate, noting that only candidates who meet the stated requirements will be considered for the screening exercise.
