The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2025 to accept or reject the offers on its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The board announced the extension on Wednesday, giving affected candidates until November 30, 2026, to indicate their decision on the admission offers.
JAMB urged candidates with pending offers to log into their CAPS accounts and either accept or reject the admissions before the new deadline.
It warned that candidates who fail to take action by November 30 will lose the status of their outstanding offers on its records.
According to the board, any admission offer that remains neither accepted nor rejected after the deadline will automatically revert to “Not Admitted.”
The latest extension follows an earlier deadline of September 30, 2026, which JAMB announced on August 30. The board had initially set August 31 as the deadline before extending it to September 30.
JAMB advised affected candidates not to wait until the final days of the new window, urging them to check their CAPS accounts and complete the required action promptly.
The board also warned that any request to update an admission after the November 30 deadline would attract the applicable penalty fee.
The extension provides candidates with outstanding offers from the affected admission years another opportunity to regularise their admission status before the offers are removed from JAMB’s records.
