OAU Releases 2026/2027 Admission Aggregate Scores, Candidates Can Check Eligibility Status Online

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has commenced the release and display of candidates’ admission screening details for the 2026/2027 academic session, with applicants now able to view their UTME, O’Level and Post-UTME aggregate scores through the University’s admission portal.
The development gives candidates who participated in the University’s admission process access to their updated Pre-Admission Screening Results Slip, which contains their computed aggregate score as well as an indication of their admission eligibility status.
The updated information is now available on the OAU admission portal, allowing candidates to check their results electronically without having to visit the University physically.
The aggregate result provides candidates with an overview of how their performance across the relevant admission components has been assessed for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
Specifically, the result slip displays the candidate’s UTME score, O’Level score and Post-UTME score, alongside the resulting aggregate score and the candidate’s eligibility status.
Candidates seeking to access the updated information are required to log in to their individual OAU admission portals using their appropriate login details.
After successfully logging into the portal, candidates should locate the “Printout” section, where the option for the “Pre-Admission Screening Results” can be accessed.
Upon selecting the relevant option, the candidate’s updated screening result should be displayed, after which the result slip can be printed or retained for future reference.
How candidates can check their OAU aggregate results
Candidates can access their updated Pre-Admission Screening Results Slip by following these steps:
1. Log in to the OAU admission portal.
Candidates should first access the University’s admission portal and log in using the details associated with their admission application.
2. Click on the “Printout” tab.
After logging in, candidates should navigate to the “Printout” section of the portal.
3. Select “Pre-Admission Screening Results.”
Under the Printout section, candidates should select the option labelled “Pre-Admission Screening Results.”
4. View and print the updated result slip.
The updated screening result will then be displayed, allowing candidates to view their aggregate score and admission eligibility status and print the result slip for their records.
The result slip is expected to provide candidates with important information about their standing in the University’s admission screening process.
However, candidates have been advised to understand the distinction between being declared eligible for admission and actually being offered admission into the University.
An indication of eligibility on the screening result slip does not automatically mean that a candidate has secured admission into OAU.
Similarly, eligibility does not guarantee admission into the candidate’s preferred course or programme.
Candidates who are shown as eligible will still need to await subsequent stages of the admission process, including the University’s final admission decisions and any other relevant procedures required for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
This distinction is particularly important because admission into a university programme is subject to the institution’s admission process and the availability of spaces in the relevant programmes.
Candidates are therefore advised not to interpret the eligibility status on the screening result as a final admission offer.
Applicants have also been advised to continue monitoring their OAU admission portals for subsequent announcements, updates or changes relating to the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
In addition to the University’s portal, candidates are advised to regularly check their JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for further admission developments.
JAMB CAPS remains an important platform through which candidates can monitor the status of their admission and respond to admission-related decisions when required.
Candidates are consequently encouraged to keep their login details secure, check both platforms regularly and pay attention to official instructions issued by OAU and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
The release of the aggregate scores and eligibility status provides candidates with greater clarity about their performance in the University’s pre-admission screening process as they await the conclusion of the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
Applicants are advised to rely on their official OAU admission portal and JAMB CAPS for verified updates and to avoid depending solely on unofficial information circulating on social media or other platforms.
