A rising academic star, Akomolede Christlike Ewaoluwa, has brought pride to her community and school after scoring an impressive 317 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The 16-year-old hails from Ilawe, a historic town in Ekiti South West Local Government Area of Ekiti State, and is a senior secondary school student at St. Lawrence Metropolitan College, Ado-Ekiti.
In an official announcement, the school celebrated her outstanding performance, describing her as a shining light and a symbol of academic excellence. “St. Lawrence Metropolitan College proudly presents Akomolede Christlike Ewaoluwa, a 16-year-old SS3 student shining bright with excellence,” the statement read.
The school credited Ewaoluwa’s success to her strong faith, mentorship, and a passionate commitment to learning. “Driven by faith, mentorship, and passion, she’s achieved success through dedication and perseverance,” St. Lawrence added, emphasizing the role of personal and institutional discipline in nurturing her brilliance.
Ewaoluwa’s remarkable score places her among the top-performing candidates in this year’s UTME, at a time when many students across Nigeria have raised concerns about mass failures. Her achievement stands as a beacon of hope, showing that hard work and the right environment can still produce excellence.
As congratulations pour in, her school reiterated its mission of academic impact, saying, “As she inspires others, St. Lawrence being the best remains committed to greatness, impacting lives both in state, Nigeria and globally.” Ewaoluwa is expected to pursue a course in the sciences, as she continues her academic journey toward becoming one of Nigeria’s brightest minds.
