The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has officially opened the online registration portal for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise. This screening is a prerequisite for admission into all undergraduate programmes offered by the institution. To qualify for the screening, candidates must have scored a minimum of 180 marks in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). In addition, all applicants—whether through UTME or Direct Entry—must have selected FUTA as their First Choice Institution. For O’level requirements, candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings from recognized examination bodies such as WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
Direct Entry candidates are also eligible to apply, provided they selected FUTA as their first choice. These applicants must present A’ level results or National Diploma qualifications relevant to their chosen course of study. A vital requirement for all candidates is the upload of their O’level results to the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). This step must be completed on or before Friday, 28th August 2025.
