The Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare (ASCOEA) has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry admission screening for the 2025/2026 academic session, covering both NCE and undergraduate programmes, including those affiliated with the University of Maiduguri.
For the NCE (100 Level), candidates must have a minimum JAMB score of 100 and at least three relevant O’Level credits, including English and/or Mathematics. For undergraduate UTME (100 Level) admission, the cut-off mark is 150, with five relevant O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics. Direct Entry (200 Level) applicants require a minimum of eight aggregate points in NCE/IMB or a Merit in Diploma, alongside five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics.
The NCE screening will be held from Tuesday, 19th to Wednesday, 20th August 2025, while the undergraduate screening follows on Thursday, 21st and Friday, 22nd August 2025. All sessions will take place at Chris Abutu Garuba Hall, starting at 9:00 a.m. daily.
Applicants are required to present their original O’Level statement of results signed by their school principal, an O’Level scratch card (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS), JAMB result slip or Direct Entry registration slip for 2025, original and photocopies of credentials, and proof of payment of the ₦2,000 screening fee.
The college offers applicants the choice of physical or online screening through its portal, which opens on Monday, 18th August 2025. The institution also announced the introduction of a new NCE Special and Adult Education Programme for the upcoming session.
