Edo State University, Iyamho, has announced the commencement of its Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The screening will take place at the university’s main campus in Iyamho, Edo State, from Tuesday, September 2 to Thursday, September 4, 2025, beginning daily at 9:00 a.m.
In a statement issued by the institution, candidates are advised to arrive early and come adequately prepared for the exercise.
Departmental Cut-Off Marks
The university has released the following minimum UTME scores for admission into its various programmes:
Medicine and Surgery – 210 and above
Nursing Science – 170 and above
Law – 180 and above
All other programmes – 150 and above
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the screening, candidates must:
- Have sat for the 2025 UTME and attained the prescribed cut-off mark for their chosen course.
- Possess the appropriate O’Level subject combinations as stipulated by the university.
- Have selected Edo State University, Iyamho as their first-choice institution, or be willing to effect a change of institution through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Required Documents
Candidates are expected to report to the screening venue with the following:
- A copy of the Post-UTME application slip
- Original and photocopies of UTME result slip
- Original and photocopies of O’Level results
- A valid means of identification (e.g., school ID, national ID)
- Two recent passport photographs
- Writing materials

Applicants are advised to be punctual and to adequately prepare by revising relevant UTME subject areas. Practising with past questions is also recommended to enhance performance.
