The Students’ Affairs Division of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin, on Friday, October 10, 2025, held a sensitization programme aimed at enlightening students on key academic and administrative issues within the institution.
The event, which took place at the College Lecture Hall, commenced at 10:00 a.m. with an opening prayer and a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Hassan Abdullahi of the School of Law.
In her welcome address, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. (Mrs.) H. T. Umar, emphasized the importance of discipline, proper conduct, and strict adherence to institutional regulations among students.
Two lectures highlighted the programme. The first, titled *“Examination Dos and Don’ts: Upholding Standards and Discipline,”* was delivered by the Director of Academic Planning, Entrepreneurship, and Quality Assurance, Mallam Musa Mahmud, who underscored integrity and examination ethics as core principles of academic success.
The second lecture, *“Registration, Payment of School Fees, and Sundry Matters,”* was presented by the Dean of the School of Law, Ustaz Kamaldeen Sofiyullahi Kamaldeen. He stressed the importance of timely registration and financial responsibility for the smooth running of academic activities.
An interactive session followed, during which students raised questions on issues relating to identity cards, certificates, and administrative processes.
Goodwill messages were delivered by senior officials, including the College Registrar and the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union, Mallam Aminullahi Mubarak, who commended the Students’ Affairs Division for organizing the impactful engagement.
The event concluded with closing remarks from the Deputy Dean of Students’ Affairs, Barrister Abdulfatai Adabale, who appreciated all participants and urged students to apply the lessons learned to enhance their academic and personal development.
