The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has officially announced the appointment of Prof. Temitope Seun Babalola, a distinguished Professor of Pedology, as the new Dean of Student Affairs. During his undergraduate days, Prof. Babalola demonstrated remarkable leadership qualities, serving as the President of the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Students (NAAS). He also played a pivotal role as a member of the Social Committee of the Student Union Government (SUG) at the University of Ado-Ekiti, showing early signs of his dedication to student advocacy and welfare.
Beyond his student leadership years, Prof. Babalola has built an illustrious academic and administrative career. Between 2009 and 2017, he served as a member of the Student Affairs Committee at the College of Agriculture, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), where he contributed immensely to policy development and student mentoring programs. At FUOYE, Prof. Babalola has previously held several key positions, including Acting Head of the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources Management and Director of Pre-degree Programmes.
