Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, has released its current school fees structure for all courses offered in the 2024/2025 academic session. The tuition fees vary across faculties depending on the nature of the programme, course demands, and practical requirements.
Medical-related programmes such as Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, and Pharmacy top the fee chart with each costing ₦350,000 per session. These courses attract higher fees due to their technical nature, laboratory sessions, and clinical training requirements essential for professional medical practice.
Engineering and design-based programmes including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, and Computer Engineering as well as Architecture, Estate Management, Fine Art, Quantity Surveying, and Urban and Regional Planning are all pegged at ₦280,000. These programmes require significant investments in equipment, design materials, and fieldwork activities.
Courses within the business, legal, and science categories such as Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Forensic Science, Geology, Computer Science, and Law attract tuition fees of ₦225,000 per session. These programmes are among the most subscribed in the university.
Social science and management-oriented courses such as Criminology, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, Geography, Psychology, Cooperative Management and Rural Development, and Transport Management are charged at ₦200,000 per academic session. The structure provides a balance between affordability and quality education.
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities maintains relatively lower tuition fees, making it one of the most accessible divisions in the university. Courses such as English Language, History and Diplomatic Studies, Music, Yoruba, and Philosophy cost ₦190,000, while Library Studies and Statistics are fixed at ₦200,000.
Students pursuing education-related degrees will also pay ₦190,000, in line with the university’s effort to encourage teacher education and support national manpower development in the education sector.
Agricultural-based programmes, including Agriculture and Plant Science, attract ₦190,000 to ₦200,000 respectively. These programmes aim to promote food security and agricultural innovation through practical and research-based learning.
Other science-related courses such as Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Applied Zoology also fall within the ₦200,000 to ₦225,000 range. The modest variation in fees reflects the balance between laboratory expenses and classroom instruction.
