The Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, has issued an urgent update for undergraduate admissions, setting a final deadline of November 14, 2025, for applicants to secure admission by changing to less-subscribed courses.
In a notice released by the Office of the Registrar (Admission Unit), the university advised all applicants who were not admitted into over-subscribed programmes to “immediately change to programmes with available admission spaces.”
This directive follows an extension of the national admission deadline by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
According to the university, applicants must ensure that the new programmes they select have similar JAMB subject combinations and O’Level requirements to their original choices. The notice also applies to students seeking intra-university transfers.
The university specifically cautioned applicants to “check their profile to be sure that their ‘O’Levels are uploaded” and verify their eligibility before initiating any change.
The document provided a detailed mobility schedule, guiding applicants from over-subscribed courses to those with vacancies.
Applicants for MBBS, Nursing, and other medical sciences were directed to options like Agricultural Economics, Fisheries, Biotechnology, and Animal Science.
Applicants for Computer Science were advised to consider Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Physics.
Applicants for Both Law programmes were guided toward Political Science, Sociology, and Library and Information Science.
The registrar’s office stressed that all such changes and transfers must be completed on or before the November 14 deadline.
