The University of Ilorin has announced that renowned public speaker and former Director of the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission, Prof. Patrick Lumumba, will deliver its 50th Anniversary Lecture on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
The institution’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, noting that the lecture forms part of activities marking the grand finale of the University’s Golden Jubilee celebration.
According to him, the event is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the University Auditorium.
Mr Akogun added that other programmes planned for the 50th Anniversary include a ₦500 billion endowment fund-raising campaign for the establishment of a state-of-the-art Innovation and Transcript Hub, recognition awards for distinguished alumni, and the premiere of a Nollywood film titled Son of Iron.
