Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) has commissioned a new Centre for Foreign Languages and the TAU Internet Radio as part of its second Convocation activities, significantly boosting its commitment to global readiness and digital communication for students.
The vibrant commissioning ceremony, held at the West Campus, was led by the Chancellor and Founder, Engr. Dr. Johnson O. Adewumi, alongside the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, and key members of the Governing Council, including Engr. Babatunde Adewumi and Mr. Oluwatobi Adewumi.
The newly commissioned Centre for Foreign Languages will now offer students intensive training in Japanese, French, Chinese, and Arabic. The initiative is designed to make multilingual proficiency a graduation requirement, preparing TAU graduates to stand out competitively in any part of the world.
Student demonstrations during the ceremony thrilled the audience and showcased the Centre’s immediate potential for transforming student capabilities.
Alongside the language centre, the University officially launched its TAU Internet Radio platform. This digital broadcasting platform opens a new frontier for student media engagement, digital communication training, and global outreach.
The Founder, the Vice-Chancellor, and Engr. Babatunde Adewumi participated in the first live on-air demonstration, signaling the importance of the new media platform to the University’s communication strategy.
These innovations reaffirm TAU’s dedication to excellence, global relevance, and providing a transformative education for its students.
