Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has achieved a significant milestone in its rise as a hub of globally impactful research and innovation. Nine of the university’s scholars have made it to SciVal’s list of top 500 authors by scholarly output in Nigeria from 2022 to 2026.
The researchers who made the list are Dr. Roseline Ogundokun (no. 53), Prof. Christian Happi (no. 166), Prof. Felix Olajide Talabi (no. 219), Prof. Adewale Adewuyi (no. 258), Dr. Ajibola Abiodun Bayode (no. 323), Dr. Timilehin Gideon Shaba (no. 340), Dr. Martins Omorogie (no. 352), Prof. Olanrewaju Seun Adesina (no. 406), and the late Prof. Iyayi Unuabonah (no. 438).
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, stated that the accomplishment highlights Redeemer’s University’s growing footprint in the global research ecosystem. “The scholars are contributing knowledge that is cited, applied, and respected across continents,” he said.

Prof. Olanrewaju Seun Adesina, a distinguished scholar at Redeemer’s University and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, is among the researchers who have reached 100 documents indexed in Scopus, one of the world’s most reputable abstract and citation databases for peer-reviewed research.
This achievement underscores Redeemer’s University’s commitment to research excellence, global visibility, and knowledge that addresses real-world challenges. Scopus indexing is widely regarded as a benchmark for quality, relevance, and international recognition in academia.
Prof. Adesina’s research spans materials engineering, corrosion science, surface engineering, and advanced materials processing, with applications that cut across industry, infrastructure development, and sustainable technologies.
