Queen’s College, Lagos, Aurora Team 2, has emerged as the Overall Champion of the National Robotics Championship, securing qualification for the World Festival in Houston, Texas, alongside other Nigerian teams heading to global robotics events.
The competition, organised to promote innovation, technology, and problem-solving skills among young learners, brought together students from federal unity colleges, state-owned schools, private institutions, and basic education schools across the country.
Participants showcased creativity and technical competence through robotics-based challenges.
According to information released on the official X page of the Federal Ministry of Education, the championship underscores Nigeria’s growing presence in global robotics education and reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to inclusive, innovation-driven educational development.
The development has attracted widespread commendation from members of the public, educators, and technology advocates on social media. Many praised the Ministry of Education for prioritising digital skills and future-ready learning.
