The Federal Ministry of Education Nigeria has announced a one-year strategic intervention aimed at revitalising Federal Technical Colleges across the country through the recruitment of Technical Facilitators.
In a press release dated 17 February 2026, the Ministry said the initiative is part of efforts to reposition Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) under the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Renewed Hope Agenda. The programme seeks to address Nigeria’s critical skills gap by engaging qualified, industry-oriented professionals capable of delivering modern, competency-based technical training.
According to the Ministry, the recruitment drive targets experienced technical experts with strong teaching and practical skills to strengthen both theoretical and hands-on instruction in Federal Technical Colleges nationwide. The intervention is part of broader reforms aimed at improving the quality, relevance, and responsiveness of technical education to meet evolving labour market demands.
Interested applicants are required to complete the official online application via the Ministry’s designated portal. The Ministry emphasised that all applications will be evaluated through a transparent, merit-based process and warned that submission does not guarantee selection.
The application portal will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, 16 March 2026.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to transforming Federal Technical Colleges into centres of excellence for skills development, innovation, and workforce readiness.
The statement was signed by Folasade Boriowo, Director of Press and Public Relations.
