The Lagos State Government has commenced registration for the second edition of the Eko Schools Arts and Crafts Competition for secondary school and tertiary institution students across the State.
The competition, organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, is themed “This is Lagos!” and is designed to encourage students to showcase the culture, creativity, heritage, and identity of Lagos through artistic expression.
Registration for the competition opened on Monday, May 4, 2026, and will close on Monday, May 25, 2026.
Interested students are expected to register through the official competition portal: Eko Schools Arts and Crafts Competition Portal
The initiative forms part of efforts by the Lagos State Government to promote creativity among young people while providing platforms for talent discovery and artistic development.
Students across public and private secondary schools as well as tertiary institutions in Lagos are encouraged to participate and use their artworks to tell unique stories about Lagos.
Organisers described the competition as an opportunity for young creatives to gain visibility, explore innovation, and contribute to the promotion of Lagos culture through art.
