The National Business and Technical Examinations Board, NABTEB, has announced registration deadlines for candidates preparing for the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination and the May/June In School Certificate Examinations.
According to the board, registration for the National Common Entrance Examination, NCEE, will close on May 24, while registration for the 2026 May/June In School Certificate Examinations will end on May 31.
The announcement was made in a statement issued in Benin by NABTEB’s Assistant Director of Media and Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah.
The statement quoted the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the board, Dr Mohammed Mohammed, as urging candidates, schools, and stakeholders to complete all registration processes before the deadlines.
The board’s announcement comes as registration activities intensify nationwide ahead of the 2026 examination cycle for technical and vocational education candidates.
NABTEB conducts examinations for students in technical colleges and vocational institutions across Nigeria, with its certificates recognised for both employment and further education purposes.
Education stakeholders have continued to stress the importance of technical and vocational education in addressing youth unemployment, skills development, and workforce preparation in the country.
The examination body also advised schools and candidates to comply strictly with registration guidelines to avoid late entry complications and other administrative issues before the closing dates.
