The Lagos State Government has released the merit admission list for candidates who participated in the 2026 screening test into the state’s Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools.

The announcement was made by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs. Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, who said successful candidates can now check their admission status on the Lagos State Examinations Board portal.

According to the ministry, candidates admitted on merit are expected to report to their respective schools from Monday, August 31, 2026, to collect their admission letters and complete the registration process.

“The Ministry hereby informs the general public, especially candidates who sat for the Screening Test into Lagos State Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools in May 2026, that the admission status for the Merit List has been released,” the statement read.

The ministry explained that the release of the merit list follows the conclusion of the screening exercise conducted for prospective students seeking admission into the state’s specialised secondary schools.

Successful candidates were advised to promptly verify their admission status through the Lagos State Examinations Board portal and complete all necessary admission formalities within the stipulated period.

The government congratulated candidates who secured admission and encouraged them to remain committed to academic excellence as they begin a new phase of their education.

It also reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality education through a transparent, merit-based admission process into the state’s Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools.
