Students of Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade, Ogun State, have staged a peaceful protest demanding justice over the death of one of their colleagues, calling on relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that anyone found responsible is held accountable.
The demonstrators, carrying placards with inscriptions demanding justice, accountability and transparency, marched within and around the institution, insisting that the circumstances surrounding the student’s death should not be ignored. They maintained that their protest was aimed at drawing public attention to the need for a transparent investigation rather than disrupting academic activities.
The demonstration followed the death of a student whose passing has generated concern across the polytechnic community.
