The Federal University of Science and Technology, Kabo (FUST Kabo) has released the approved school fees schedule for students admitted into its Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to the fee schedule, newly admitted MBBS students will pay a total of ₦112,500, while returning students are to pay ₦101,500 for the academic session.
The breakdown shows that fresh students are expected to pay ₦15,000 for registration and portal charges, ₦75,000 as faculty charges, ₦8,000 for medical examination, ₦3,000 for the student identity card, ₦6,000 for library and electronic resources, ₦3,500 for sports and recreation, and ₦2,000 as Students’ Union dues.
The inclusion of the medical examination and identity card fees accounts for the difference between the charges payable by newly admitted and returning students.
Returning MBBS students will pay ₦15,000 for registration and portal services, ₦75,000 as faculty charges, ₦6,000 for library and e-resources, ₦3,500 for sports and recreation, and ₦2,000 as Students’ Union dues, bringing the total payable amount to ₦101,500.
The release of the fee schedule provides prospective and continuing medical students with clarity on the financial requirements for the new academic session, enabling them and their sponsors to make adequate preparations ahead of registration.
The university is expected to commence registration and other admission processes for successful candidates in line with its academic calendar, while students are advised to complete all required payments through approved institutional channels and retain evidence of payment for verification during registration.
The publication of the approved fees comes as universities across Nigeria continue preparations for the 2026/2027 academic session, with institutions releasing admission guidelines, registration procedures and financial schedules for newly admitted and returning students.
FUST Kabo urged students to comply with all registration requirements and observe deadlines that will be communicated by the university to ensure a seamless commencement of academic activities.
