The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has announced the closure of its registration portal for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME admission exercise, while granting prospective Direct Entry candidates an additional one week to complete their applications.
According to a notice issued by the university’s Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Post-UTME registration will close at midnight on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The university, however, extended the deadline for Direct Entry registration to midnight on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
The extension gives Direct Entry applicants an additional seven days to complete their registration ahead of the commencement of the admission process.
UNIUYO advised candidates who are yet to complete their applications to use the remaining period to do so, warning that no further extension would be granted for either registration process.
The university also stated that applications, payments or registrations relating to the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise would no longer be accepted after the Post-UTME portal closes.
Prospective students were urged to rely on the university’s official communication channels for admission-related information and to be cautious of individuals who may attempt to exploit applicants through fraudulent admission schemes.
The university further directed candidates who registered with awaiting results to upload their O’Level results on both the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal and the University of Uyo admissions portal.
The notice was signed by the Acting Director of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Mr. Ndongest Nsubong, on behalf of the Registrar.
