Crescent University, Abeokuta, has urged students admitted between 2023 and 2025 who are yet to print their admission letters from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal to do so before September 30, 2026.
The university issued the reminder in an internal memo dated September 4 and signed by its Deputy Registrar, Admissions, H.B. Ogunsola.
The notice was addressed to students from the 2023, 2024 and 2025 admission cohorts who have not yet printed their JAMB admission letters.
The university asked the affected students to act before the September 30 deadline, warning that the relevant portals could be closed after the deadline.
The reminder comes after JAMB extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to date to September 30, 2026.
Under the extension, candidates with pending admission offers are required to either accept or reject the offers through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
JAMB said candidates who accept their offers will be able to proceed to print their admission letters, while those who reject them will have their admission status reverted to “Not Admitted”.
The Board warned that outstanding offers that remain neither accepted nor rejected by the September 30 deadline would be affected by the closure of the process, with no further opportunity provided after the deadline.
The university’s latest notice therefore serves as a reminder to students whose admissions may already have been processed but who have not completed the corresponding JAMB documentation.
JAMB has previously stated that admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions must be processed through the Board and that an admission offered by an institution without a corresponding JAMB admission letter is not immediately valid.
Crescent University has also commenced its 2026/2027 admission exercise, with the institution’s current admission information stating that candidates are required to meet JAMB and other institutional requirements before admission.
Affected students from the 2023 to 2025 admission cohorts are therefore advised to check their JAMB CAPS profiles, confirm their admission status and complete the necessary process for printing their admission letters before the September 30 deadline.
