The National Examinations Council (NECO) will release the results of the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
The results will be formally announced at 11am at the council’s headquarters on Kilometre 8, Bida Road, Minna, Niger State, according to a circular issued by the examination body.
The announcement follows the 2026 SSCE Internal Award Committee meeting held at the council’s headquarters on Tuesday, which was presided over by the Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, Professor Dantani Wushishi.
NECO said the meeting formed part of the final preparations for the release of the examination results.
The 2026 SSCE Internal examination, which is taken by final-year secondary school students, was conducted nationwide from June 15 to July 23, 2026, according to the examination timetable published by the council.
The release of the results will provide candidates with their performance records as many prepare for admission into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and other tertiary institutions.
The results are expected to be made available through NECO’s result-checking platform following the official announcement. The council’s results portal requires candidates to select the examination year and examination type before entering their registration details and result-checking token.
The announcement will also bring to an end the waiting period for candidates who completed the June/July examination and have been awaiting their results for admission and other academic purposes.
NECO conducted the examination across various subjects, including English Language, General Mathematics, sciences, humanities, vocational and technical subjects.
