Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has officially released the full details of its tuition fees for the 2024/2025 academic session, offering a clear breakdown of charges across various faculties. Topping the chart is the Faculty of Law, where 100-level students are required to pay a substantial sum of ₦1,960,500. For those admitted through Direct Entry into 200 level, the tuition increases slightly to ₦1,974,000, making Law the most expensive programme at the university.
Following closely in terms of cost is the Faculty of Engineering, which hosts several high-demand programmes including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, and Computer Engineering. For all 100-level students across these departments, the school fees are set at ₦1,369,000. According to the university, the fee structure remains relatively consistent through the academic levels, cementing Engineering as one of the most financially demanding faculties.
While Law and Engineering are high on the financial ladder, other faculties come in at mid-range tuition levels. The Faculty of Natural Sciences, for example, offers programmes like Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Industrial Chemistry, with tuition fees averaging ₦1,020,000 per academic year for 100-level students. Students in 200 and 300 levels reportedly pay similar amounts, subject to minor adjustments for laboratory use and course materials.
Students in the Faculty of Management Sciences, which includes courses like Accounting, Business Administration, and Banking & Finance, are charged a standard tuition fee of ₦819,500 at 100 level. The affordability of this faculty places it in the middle tier of the university’s tuition chart. The same fee range also applies to Social Sciences courses such as Economics and Political Science, making them accessible to a wider range of students.
Notably, the Faculty of Humanities offers the most affordable programmes in the university. Courses like English, Philosophy, and Christian Religious Studies are priced at ₦792,500 for new intakes. This affordability, combined with a solid academic framework, has made the Humanities one of the most popular choices for cost-conscious students.
At the very bottom of the tuition scale is History and International Studies, which has emerged as the cheapest course at Redeemer’s University in 2025. New students in this department are billed ₦792,500, maintaining the institution’s commitment to providing access to quality education in arts and humanities at a manageable cost.
According to a senior official at the university’s finance department, “Redeemer’s University is deeply committed to transparency and fairness in our tuition structure. We have ensured that all departments display their full financial obligations publicly to help students and their parents make informed decisions.”
In terms of payment options, the university has introduced a flexible installment plan for students who may be unable to pay the full tuition at once. A minimum of 60% is expected to be paid before resumption, while the remaining 40% can be spread across the semester. This plan has been widely welcomed by parents and guardians.
The fee structure also covers miscellaneous costs such as development levies, ICT fees, medical insurance, library services, and identity card issuance. These non-refundable charges are already embedded within the main tuition fee, meaning students won’t be faced with hidden charges throughout the year.
An undergraduate student in the Faculty of Engineering shared, “The fees may be high, but the facilities we have here justify it. We have access to modern laboratories, constant electricity, internet connection, and quality instructors. The university also maintains very small class sizes, which helps learning.”
With the official school fees now made public, Redeemer’s University encourages prospective students to carefully assess the financial commitments required for each course before applying. The university reiterated that its goal is to maintain academic excellence without compromising affordability, particularly in critical disciplines like humanities and social sciences.
This comprehensive tuition disclosure by Redeemer’s University has been applauded by education stakeholders as a step toward transparency and accountability. It reflects a growing trend among private institutions to offer full clarity on academic costs, allowing families to plan better for their children’s educational future.
