A Decade of Fostering Intellectual Excellence
The All-Nigeria Universities Debating Championship was established in 2013 with the vision of making debate a core co-curricular activity in all Nigerian tertiary institutions. Hosted first by the University of Calabar, the ANUDC has since been organized by various universities, including the University of Lagos, Covenant University, and Veritas University, Abuja.
Overseen by the non-profit Association of Nigerian Universities Debating Club (ANUDC), the championship serves as a vital platform for students to develop critical thinking, rhetoric, and leadership skills. It also prepares them for participation in continental and global competitions like the Pan African Universities Debating Championship (PAUDC) and the World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC).
The event has consistently showcased the intellectual prowess of Nigerian students and remains a cornerstone for fostering academic excellence and spirited competition among the nation’s future leaders.
