The Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB) has officially welcomed its newly appointed Secretary, Hajiya Balkisu Sani Makaranta. The board’s Executive Chairman, Professor Nasir Garba Anka, assured her of the management’s complete support as she assumes her new role.
During a formal welcoming ceremony at the ZSUBEB headquarters in Gusau on Wednesday, Professor Anka reiterated the board’s unwavering commitment to Governor Dauda Lawal’s educational transformation agenda. He stressed the importance of the ongoing state of emergency on education and affirmed that the management would provide all necessary resources to ensure the new secretary’s success.
“The entire management team will provide all the necessary support to enable her to succeed in her responsibilities,” Professor Anka stated, underscoring the collaborative effort required to achieve the administration’s goals.
In her response, Hajiya Makaranta expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to work diligently to advance basic education in the state. She affirmed her commitment to supporting Governor Lawal’s vision to reposition the education sector for the benefit of all citizens in Zamfara.
“I will serve as a good ambassador of the Board and contribute my quota toward the development of basic education in the state,” she remarked.
Also speaking at the event, Ahmad Almaji, representing the management entourage, lauded the appointment of Hajiya Makaranta. He expressed optimism that her extensive experience and dedication would significantly enhance the board’s activities and contribute to its overall mission.
