Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), has unveiled a new bread centre, IBBUL Bite, as part of its drive to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical skill acquisition among students.
The bakery, which will be operated under the supervision of the university’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED), is designed to provide the university community and Lapai residents with fresh, hygienically produced bread daily.
Speaking at the launch, the Head of Production, Musa Jibrin, described the initiative as a milestone in IBBUL’s quest to blend academic excellence with practical knowledge.

“IBBUL Bite is more than a bakery; it is a centre of creativity, skill acquisition, and quality service delivery. The goal is to produce bread that is not only tasty but also nutritious, affordable, and consistent in quality,” Jibrin explained.
He noted that beyond providing food, the bakery would serve as a training hub where students would acquire hands-on entrepreneurial and vocational skills to ensure self-reliance after graduation.
Jibrin further urged students and residents to patronize the bakery, adding that with its slogan, “Sweet and Fresh Every Day,” IBBUL Bite aims to deliver both satisfaction and innovation in every loaf.
The bread centre has already generated excitement within the campus and Lapai community, with its unique taste, affordability, and customer-focused service expected to make it a staple in local households.
