The Students’ Union of the University of Ilorin has released the official schedule for the online allocation of school-owned hostels for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a statement issued on Friday, September 26, 2025, the exercise will be conducted in phases for both returning and newly admitted students. The union said the schedule was designed to ensure an orderly and transparent process.
For returning students, the balloting is set for Friday, October 3, 2025, with time slots allocated by academic level. Students in 200 Level will ballot between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., followed by 300 Level from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The 400 Level slot is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., while 500 Level students will ballot from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The final session for 600 Level is slated for 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Freshmen (100 Level) will have their opportunity on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Their balloting sessions will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and again from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The statement, signed by Students’ Union President Adelu Idris Ayomo and Public Relations Officer Adam Mozeed, advised students to adhere strictly to the schedule to avoid disruptions.
The union also reassured students of its commitment to prioritising their welfare, describing the hostel allocation process as an essential step in ensuring a smooth academic year.
