The Federal University of Education, Zaria, has commenced applications for its 2025/2026 Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) programme, aimed at equipping degree holders and professionals with the qualifications required for a teaching career in line with the standards of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
The one-year, part-time programme is structured to run on Fridays and Saturdays, providing flexibility for working professionals to participate without disrupting their regular work schedules.
According to the university, the total tuition fee for the programme is ₦54,200, with an option for half payment of ₦27,100. Prospective candidates are required to purchase an electronic pin or scratch card for ₦5,000 to complete the online registration process.
Eligibility is open to holders of HND, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degrees. Applicants are to complete their registration through the university’s student portal and forward proof of payment to the institution’s designated WhatsApp numbers.
The university noted that the PDE programme offers participants a professional teaching certificate and practical skills essential for effective classroom instruction. Interested applicants may contact the PDE office via phone, email, or the official university website for further enquiries.
