The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise conducted for eligible candidates across the country.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin, announced that candidates who participated in the examination can now access their results through the Board’s approved result-checking channels.
The Board also disclosed that it will immediately commence the ranking of candidates following the release of the mop-up results, a key step in the admission process for the 2026 academic session.
According to JAMB, the printing of results required for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.
The mop-up examination was organised to accommodate candidates who were unable to participate in the main UTME due to various challenges, including technical issues and biometric verification difficulties.
JAMB expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, institutions and other stakeholders for their patience and cooperation throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the subsequent mop-up exercise.
The release of the mop-up results effectively concludes the 2026 UTME examination cycle and clears the way for admission processes into tertiary institutions across the country.
