According to NANS, the frequency of distress calls from affected students has increased significantly, with many reportedly trapped and uncertain about their safety.
The leadership of the Niger Axis JCC emphasized that the continued inaction has left many students vulnerable, especially as other state governments have reportedly taken proactive measures to evacuate their indigenes from affected areas. NANS disclosed that it has been working in collaboration with sister organizations, including the (NANISS) and the (NYCN), Niger State Chapter, to coordinate advocacy efforts and amplify calls for urgent government intervention. The groups jointly stressed the need for a coordinated response that prioritizes student safety.

Among the demands put forward is the immediate activation of an emergency evacuation plan targeting all affected Niger State students currently in Jos. The student leaders argued that such a move is critical to preventing potential casualties, given the reported escalation of insecurity in the region.
They also called on the state government to collaborate closely with relevant security agencies to ensure the safe movement of students out of volatile areas. According to the statement, proper coordination between government officials, security operatives, and student leaders would be essential to guarantee a smooth and risk-free evacuation process.
