The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has extended the sale of application forms for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) admission to May 8, giving prospective candidates additional time to complete their registration.
The extension, according to the Board, is part of efforts to ensure that no eligible candidate is denied access to tertiary education due to time constraints.
In a statement signed by Fabian Benjamin, the Board also announced the approval of five additional registration centres to ease pressure in high-demand locations.
The newly approved centres include the Centre for Open and Distance Learning, Mini Campus, University of Ilorin in Kwara State; Bells University of Technology; and Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State.
Others are the Prof. Usman E-Learning Centre at the Federal College of Education Special Oyo, and Human Development Initiatives (Grace House) in Iwaya, Lagos, which is expected to commence operations from April 30, 2026.
JAMB reiterated that its offices nationwide, including Professional Registration Centres and Professional Testing Centres, remain open to accommodate candidates seeking to register for the Direct Entry exercise.
The Board urged prospective applicants to take advantage of the extension and complete their registration within the new deadline.
