The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Friday, June 13, 2026, for its mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) aimed at candidates who were unable to sit for the main examination due to technical challenges or biometric verification issues.
The examination is designed to provide another opportunity for affected candidates to participate in the admission exercise after experiencing difficulties beyond their control during the main UTME.
According to information released by the Board, candidates eligible for the mop-up examination include those who were present at their examination centres but could not complete the test due to technical disruptions, as well as candidates whose biometric verification failed on the day of the examination.
However, JAMB clarified that candidates who missed the examination due to personal reasons, lateness, negligence, or voluntary absence are generally not eligible for the mop-up exercise.
To participate, eligible candidates have been advised to reprint their examination notification slips to confirm their new examination centres, dates, and time schedules.
Candidates can access their slips through the JAMB supplementary examination slip printing portal by entering either their registration number or the email address linked to their JAMB profile.
The Board urged affected candidates to print their slips early and carefully review their examination details to avoid missing their assigned sessions.
The mop-up examination forms part of JAMB’s efforts to ensure that candidates affected by technical challenges during the 2026 UTME are given a fair opportunity to participate in the admission process.
Candidates are advised to monitor official JAMB communication channels for further updates regarding the exercise.
