The Nigerian Law School has issued an urgent directive to candidates preparing for the resit Bar Final Examinations, warning that failure to meet application requirements could lead to disqualification.
In a notice released by the Council of Legal Education, the management of the Law School expressed concern that some resit and reference candidates are yet to submit their applications to the Examinations and Records Office.
The notice directs all affected candidates to complete and submit their applications on or before Friday, May 8, 2026.
According to the Council, any candidate who fails to comply with the deadline will not be eligible to sit for the resit Bar Final Examinations.
The directive applies to all categories of candidates, including those sitting for only one paper.
Management emphasised the urgency of the notice, urging candidates to act promptly to avoid losing the opportunity to participate in the examination.
The statement, dated May 4, 2026, was signed by the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, reinforcing the institution’s position on strict adherence to examination procedures.
The development highlights ongoing efforts by the Law School to maintain compliance standards and ensure proper documentation ahead of its professional qualifying examinations.
