The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed candidates scheduled to participate in the 2026 Mop-Up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin printing their examination notification slips ahead of the exercise.
The Board announced that the mop-up examination will hold on Saturday, June 13, 2026, and advised affected candidates to obtain their slips early to confirm their examination details.
In a statement issued on Sunday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, candidates were informed that the notification slip contains critical information, including examination venue, date, time, and other instructions necessary for the conduct of the test.
According to the Board, the mop-up examination is intended for candidates who were unable to sit for the main UTME due to technical challenges, as well as those whose biometric verification could not be successfully completed during the earlier exercise.
JAMB urged all eligible candidates to visit its official portal to access and print their slips, stressing the importance of familiarising themselves with their examination centres before the examination date.
The Board noted that early preparation would help candidates avoid last-minute challenges and ensure a smooth examination process.
JAMB further clarified that the mop-up exercise represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to participate in the 2026 UTME, adding that no additional examination would be conducted after the scheduled exercise.
Candidates were therefore encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity and make adequate preparations ahead of the examination.
