The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has dismissed as false a viral salary structure circulating across social media, warning Nigerians not to be deceived by the misleading document.
In a disclaimer shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) page, the agency stamped the circulating image with a bold “SCAM ALERT – DO NOT BE FOOLED”, stressing that the purported salary scale did not originate from TETFund.
The fake document, titled “Estimated Salary Structure for TETFund (Nigeria),” claimed to reveal the monthly salaries of various positions within the agency, including the Executive Secretary, Directors and other officers.

Reacting to the viral post, TETFund categorically described the salary chart as misleading information and urged members of the public to disregard it.
The agency advised Nigerians to rely only on information published through its verified communication channels and official social media platforms, warning that unverified online content could be used to spread misinformation.
The clarification comes amid growing circulation of unofficial salary structures of government agencies on social media, with TETFund becoming the latest institution to publicly refute such claims.
TETFund reaffirmed that any authentic information concerning its operations or policies would only be communicated through its official platforms.
