Four Nigerian students sponsored by the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) have graduated with distinctions from universities in the United Kingdom, marking another milestone in the programme’s efforts to equip beneficiaries with globally competitive knowledge and professional skills.
The outstanding academic achievement was announced by the Presidential Amnesty Programme, which disclosed that the beneficiaries excelled in their respective postgraduate programmes after receiving government sponsorship to study in the United Kingdom as part of its overseas scholarship initiative aimed at human capital development in the Niger Delta.
According to the programme, the feat demonstrates the academic potential of Nigerian youths when provided with quality educational opportunities and adequate support. It noted that the overseas scholarship scheme remains a key component of PAP’s reintegration strategy, designed to empower former agitators and other qualified beneficiaries through education, professional development and skills acquisition.
