The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has officially commenced the sale of admission forms for the 2025/2026 academic session. Candidates who selected the institution as their first-choice university with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are invited to participate in the Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening exercise. The online application portal opened on Monday, July 21, 2025, and will close on Friday, August 15, 2025.
FUNAAB offers admission into various levels—100, 200, and 300—depending on the qualifications of the applicants. Those eligible include candidates with UTME scores and Direct Entry qualifications such as OND, HND, NCE, A’ Level, IJMB, and JUPEB. The University remains committed to admitting only qualified applicants in accordance with JAMB’s Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and the institution’s competitive standards.
The screening process is entirely online and begins with applicants logging into the admission portal using their JAMB UTME or Direct Entry registration numbers. After login, candidates must generate an application invoice, which includes a REMITA Reference Number. This number is essential for the payment of a non-refundable application fee of ₦2,000 (exclusive of portal access and REMITA charges).
Payments can be made at any bank nationwide that accepts REMITA payments or online using a debit card or through internet banking. After successful payment, applicants are required to return to the admission portal, log in again, and complete the e-application form by providing all necessary academic and contact details. All candidate data retrieved from JAMB cannot be modified, hence applicants are advised to input their details carefully in sections where editing is permitted.
On completion of the form, candidates must confirm all entries on the acknowledgement page and submit the application. A copy of the completed form displaying the candidate’s passport photograph should be printed out and kept safe for future reference. Candidates should also note that correcting any wrongly entered data after submission will attract a penalty fee of ₦1,500, and such corrections must be done before the deadline of August 15, 2025.
Applicants are strongly cautioned against uploading incorrect O’Level or Direct Entry results as such actions will result in automatic disqualification. Additionally, the University will not entertain any complaints regarding wrongly submitted contact information or academic records after the application closes. Therefore, it is imperative that applicants double-check all entries before submission.
In an effort to offer flexibility to students, the University has also provided an option for candidates to express interest in part-time (weekday evening) programmes for their preferred courses, where applicable. Further details about these programmes can be accessed via the FUNAAB Part-Time Portal. This provides an alternative for working-class applicants or those seeking a more adaptable learning schedule.
For Direct Entry applicants, it is mandatory to submit official transcripts or certified true copies of statements of results to the Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. These documents must be stamped by the Director or Head of Department of the issuing institution and submitted no later than Friday, August 15, 2025. Failure to comply with this requirement may affect the applicant’s admission consideration.
Applicants are solely responsible for confirming that they meet all minimum admission requirements before making any payment. FUNAAB has reiterated that any discovered ineligibility at any stage of the process will lead to immediate withdrawal of admission, and all payments made up to that point are strictly non-refundable.
